First attempt to communicate with Higher Self ...
Months ago I began venturing into totally unknown territory- consciously trying to establish communication with my Higher Self Aspect - the Real Me in the Ethers! That personal guidance, the intelligent source, connection to the Divine within, which has always been there but I was so totally and blissfully unaware of it. Never have I previously made a conscious effort to even attempt such nebulous, esoteric feats or to learn to still my monkey mind and listen to personalized nuggets of wisdom....
Since we tend to live lives others impose on us- for the most part- be it society, culture, family, ego etc, rarely do we tap with full awareness into the greatest source of wisdom, The Higher Self compass. So instead of constantly looping like a hamster in a wheel, spinning round and round, focusing on the external pursuits, always outside of ourselves, which brings an utter disconnect with our spiritual aspect, the goal became to go inward and listen to personalized translation from the ethers... It's quite remarkable what happens the moment one decides to listen to the inner guidance.
First attempt at communication with HS was quite a memorable one, since I had major difficulties with the process itself. Mind kept spinning and spinning, felt like it was not gonna stop, from one thought to the next, to the next, to the next, and on and on it kept going.... My egoic mind naively thought it got this all figured out and was gonna direct the process ....hahaha :-) However, amongst the loud chatter, or more like a white noise, the message still slipped in, calmly and clearly, somewhat in nonchalant manner:
"Get out of your head and focus on your heart."
Couldn't help but laugh at that one for a moment. Lol :-) Surely did take my Higher Self's advice and placed the focus on the heart center, did deep breathing and all shifted - the chatter was gone and in its place calmness and silence resided. What a magnificent experience!
It's so essential to develop the ability to go within and just be. To find that moment of stillness and return to it each and every time is priceless... you can literally hear your heart beat, feel your body pulsate in a rhythmical pattern- contracting and expanding. There's so much happening within but only perceptible to those who listen. Such an amazing feeling!
The world will always want to pull you in, there will always be drama, there will always be something outside of yourself wanting to distract you from your path but the task at hand becomes- to bring yourself back to that point of harmony, balance, neutrality. There's always going to be something nagging at you, throwing you out of balance...and yes you can certainly get frustrated that "those so called distractions" are coming at you, but that's the way it is. Without them you wouldn't be able to hone your skills because the opportunity, the contrast wouldn't be there. They are just part of the processes, and equally important. :-)
