Spider Medicine and Its lessons
“To begin, begin.”
This post has been inspired by a visit to the park (had a desire to commune with Mother Nature and Elementals) and a creature who made its presence known while I was having a passionate discussion regarding current world affairs. When sitting on the bench my immediate attention was drawn to something crawling on my left hand, a not-so-tiny spider. No screams came from my end but excitement and smiles because I knew this fella brought powerful Spirit medicine. Animal Spirits frequent my dream space, life, and absolutely love how timely their visits always are. One can surely rely on impeccable delivery from the Animal world as to what needs to be paid attention to. So as I searched for the meaning of Spider medicine, here is what came up:
The magic of spider gifts includes creativity including abilities to write (something I’ve been trying to tap into for a while), to weave realities since spiders are master weavers; a symbol of balance between past/future, physical/spirit, male/female; the embodiment of gentleness and strength combined, as well as a mighty symbol of infinite possibilities of creation.
It’s so true that many of us are not always aware of we how we create our realities, how we weave tangible and intangible threads into the very existence we see manifested in front of our eyes. We may not be able to see the entire web we are weaving or foresee too far ahead into the future, yet we do create the very fabric of our lives by the choices we make, whether consciously or not; we lay the very foundation through intentions, aspirations, emotions, dreams, attitudes, judgments we project into our fields. We are the architects of our fate. We are at the wheel of the ship stirring it to its destination, whether we head straight for the iceberg, calm or stormy seas.
Gosh, how timely this lesson is. I have been contemplating the concept, so widely spoken about in contemporary esoteric/metaphysical groups - of “being a creator of one’s reality” and its deeper meaning. We may associate the word create with only artistic pursuits. While it can certainly be part of it, neither is it exclusive nor limited to the artistic endeavors only. We weave invisible energetic threads (geometric patterns) into a giant web that eventually gets manifested as our individual and collective realities. When/if we allow ourselves to step out of a collective fear and survival mode, and step into rightful roles of ‘a creator in-carnate', as Sandra Walter calls it, we can finally begin to weave into existence the type of Universe we desire to inhabit; Just like our beloved teacher, who recently crossed over Dr. Wayne Dyer shared with us:
“You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions, your intentions create your reality.”
"When you practice unbending intent, you match up with the intent of the all-creative universal mind. So keep a solid picture of the task you want to accomplish in your mind, and refuse to let that intention disappear."
We are divine extensions of Source carrying its spark; as above so below, which means we are imbued with both tools and ancient wisdom necessary to build the most magical worlds and mind-bending realities. We are such powerful CREATORS. Raison d’etre, if you ask me. For that to happen one needs to step out of victim mentality and perpetual thinking of I’m at the whim of what's happening out there, being tossed around like a leaf in the wind.
I’ve been pondering the concept of untapped potential, unique gifts so many souls possess that simply lay buried underneath of crusted, forgotten, yet so very human “poor me & feeling sorry for myself” mentality. If one entertains the thought of having lived/living and experienced/experiencing multiple lives, all those unique abilities and skills acquired, the sheer magnitude of mastership we hold may be just astonishing; all awaiting to be remembered and tapped into. It’s impossible not to contemplate such possibilities. After all we are dreaming this Hologram. So why not weave the fabric of life consciously and for the highest good of all concerned, all the while exploring the magical web of our creations through heart-centered consciousness?
We are bestowed with a Divine gift of creation, carrying within us Source creator codes awaiting to be unleashed; they are part of our blueprint. So thank you, dearest Spider, your medicine couldn't have been more timely. So very grateful for such a magical reminder.
